Humans of Bruuns Galery

Originally, I come from Hannover in Germany, but I have lived in Aarhus for almost two years now. It all started because I got an internship here in a place called Moment Studio which is a photo and video company where I was doing some advertisement. But after moving here I decided that I really wanted to stay long term because I think Aarhus is such a beautiful city with a nice vibe. And luckily it worked out great. I have started taking classes at a Danish School. Ja that’s right jeg snakker en lille smule dansk. I’m doing this because I really see a future here. Especially now that I work as a self-employed photographer. Yea I know it’s pretty cool. I like it a lot.

I know it can be hard for some people but for me it was actually very easy moving to Denmark. I believe it is for all German people. Especially people from northern Germany. But also because the people in Aarhus are very cool. I didn’t have a hard time finding friends here because I’m quite a Nordic person myself. By that I mean that I’m also pretty introverted. Just like the Danes. I think for some people – especially southern people – it can be hard because they are used to be around lots of people. Lots of family and friends. Northern people are different. They are more my vibe so I can connect with them quite easily. I think your way of making relations is always determined by who you are as a person. And I really want to stay here. That’s why I started in Danish school.
