When distance from home disrupts almost everything else, Angela's work turns to continuity, identity, and connection through art. As a choreographer, dancer, and theater maker, she traces that continuity through movement itself.
Angela Aldebs grew up between a ballet school and The Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus, Syria, and the stages where she now performs, based in Helsinki. Somewhere between those two places, movement became the language she kept, the one thing that traveled with her when almost everything else could not.
Everything else was left behind. Movement wasn't.
